Home Learners Classes:

ADULT STUDIO CLASSES: Costs include instruction, glazes, slips and stains, firings and taxes. Each session is 6 weeks long and the fee is $238.00 including one bag of clay, glazes, slips, stains, firings and taxes.
Additional bags of clay are $26.50.
Learn hand building techniques such as coiling, slab and pinching techniques to make functional pottery or sculptural pieces you can enjoy and use or give as gifts. These sessions are arranged with 5 weeks for making pieces and 1 week for glazing.
The classes are small so there is lots of personal attention and guidance. Come with your own ideas and we will help you realize them. Or follow our easy instructions to make dishes, mugs, teapots, or serving dishes in colours that match your home.

Adult Clay Single Sessions:
Time: Tuesdays 7:00 to 9:30 pm
Time: Thursdays 1:30 to 4:00 pm
Cost: $36.50 per session. Clay is $26.50 per bag.
For those who want to give clay a try and can't commit to a full session, you can now drop in and pay for each attended session, with advanced notice.
No previous experience is necessary.
STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND CAREGIVERS
Sessions can be arranged by request. One project example is a bowl that is made using small balls of clay that are rolled out on the table and then pressed together into a bowl mould. The constructed bowl is then coloured with dabs of underglaze on the clay surface before it is fired. All this work can be done "hand over hand" with the client.

After School Classes:

Duration: 6 weeks

Clay Sessions By Request:
"Adults and Kids Together", Child's Birthday parties,
Girl Guides or Scouts sessions.
Cost: $30.00 per child plus materials and taxes.
Time: 1.5 hrs.
Pro D groups, "Girls/Couples Night Out", and Stagettes.
Cost: $40.00 per adult plus materials and taxes.
Time: 2.5 hrs.
Once the pieces are made, they will be fired and glazed by
the instructor and picked up at a future date, approximately two weeks later.
CREATE AT HOME AND FIRE AT THE STUDIO: For experienced pottery people, and/or students of Mission Clay Works studio, purchase a bag of clay and make your pieces at home. Prices for the firings will be determined by the size of your works. Cost for firing is $.02 per cu. inch.
Clay cost is $26.50 per bag. Glazing session $38.00 for 2.5 hrs. in the studio. Date and time by request.
